Having Ehlers, Connor, and Scheifele on the PP really makes zone entry a non-issue for this first PP unit... they fought the puck along the boards a bit, but once they get it settled they move the puck extremely well and Ehlers isn't afraid to shoot the puck which is a nice change.

Ehlers also moving around a ton on the PP. I don't think it's just him as the whole scheme seems more fluid, but he's really the best skillset to be a bit of a rover and mess up the pk setup.

PP seems wayyy less predictable.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if at a deeper level the reason why the PP is succeeding is more because there's someone shooting from other locations rather than the puck movement. Previous PP unit under Lauer and Kompon was not only static, it was obviously trying to set up Connor, and to a lesser extent Scheifele. Occasionally Morrissey would shoot but nobody wanted to play net front and Lowry just isn't great there anyways.
