GDT: Game #13 Sharks vs Islanders @ SAP Center 7:30pm PDT - Crummy Doodle "Remastered"

Pretty solid win.

A lot of room for improvement, but good overall and happy to see Hertl get a goal.

Hertl needs to hang around the blue paint, but when he is on the Thornton line, Pavs is in that area. So we either need to keep Hertl on the 3rd or move Pavs into 3c.

Mueller still has his occasional rookie moment but seems to be settling in nicely. Demers seems to be settling down as well after a shaky start to the season. IMO both have to continue given our lack of defensive depth.

hw will stick for sure.

he played 24+ min as Hannan was hurt and all the d played more minutes to make it up.

i think he'll play 16 - 18 min a game.

Ah I thought it was weird they would play a rookie so much, thanks. I think he was pretty good positionally/in the D-zone for what little of the game I caught.

It's funny because they've looked good this season without real practice. Just lacking some details and then the fatigue factor has been kicking their ass. I'm excited.

I think it has been a blessing in disguise. The lack of practices have forced the Sharks to adjust on the fly and try some new things in real time. Having played so many games so quickly has allowed us to see where we stand and what improvements need/can be made. Forced the players to bring it every other night.

I too am excited. Getting this team back to full health only makes the Sharks that much scarier. So many combinations to be had. The bottom 6 will be awesome.
I'd like to see-

torres-tierney-hertl
shepp-desi-goodrow

And plz give Fedun a shot for the #6 spot..Cant be worse than Hannan/Irwin

Nieto-Thornton-Pavs
-Thornton and Pavs needs some speed on their line

Marleau-Couture-Tierney
-Tierney has great hockey sense and touted as a 2 way player so with some experience maybe he won't be a liability on a shutdown line

Goodrow/Kennedy-Hertl-Wingels
-Wingels has been one of the most consistent players and brings some stability and can help Hertl carry the line.

Sheppard-Desi-Goodrow/Kennedy
-On paper, it could be one of the best 4th lines in the league with Shep and Kennedy having some offensive pop.

Obviously this would require one or two of Scott, Brown, McGinn, Burish to get waived but the Sharks could field a really good forward corps.

After that Okposo goal, where both Hannan and Burns got twisted and Nemo let in a soft serve, the team clamped down tighy. I can't recall many scoring chances for nyi after that.

They seemed a little tired. Maybe the 1030 est start. But, no team gets to use that on sj with this ridiculous schedule.

I wonder if Hannan has a separated shoulder. That seems like a thing that happens in situations like that.
