You're offerng a solution in search of a problem. Kasper's lack of productivity is not a problem when he's not bringing the team down. He's actually boosting the team a little. Your solution is to first of all put pressure oh him to score in a bigger role in the NHL, and if he doesn't do it quickly send him down to where he's under pressure to put up points against weaker opposition. I can't imagine anything worse for a prospect than to be put under pressure to do something that he's not quite ready to do yet, and doesn't need to do to help the team be a bit better. He's already making the team a bit better.by just doing what he's doing.
You've been down on Kasper from day one, your first impressions of a predictably slow NA debut continuing to pollute your opinion of him despite evidence he's a different and much better player now, and has been for about ten months, than when you had your first impression. He's been good for the team, not anything close to a problem, you just want to make it one with dire and ridiculous projections. Dozens if not hundreds of guys develop from statistically slow NHL starts to good NHL careers without their teams thinking they had to make things easier for them.
Better prospects have been sent down to the AHL to work on their game. Getting 5 or 6 shot attempts per game in GR will do a lot more for Kasper than shoving the puck at the goalie once or twice a game in the NHL. Plus PP practice time which he won't get in Detroit.
I'm not the one being unreasonable, you're being impatient. The kid doesn't look ready. Players don't magically start scoring. (This is where you name some random late bloomer that did, lol. For every late bloomer, there are literally hundreds that turn into Brome/Perlini/Erne/etc)
