Eh, I don't really think that's true.

The players routinely vote our ice and Montreal's ice the best in the league.
Our ice was voted amongst the worst in the league THE 1ST YEAR IN THIS NEW ARENA lol. By the players. Our ice is not good at all. It probably still improved though.

Bowman gives me CHia vibes. Must be the bald head

I will say - first impression on Amazon's intermission crew is that they're easy better than Sportsnet.

Not sure how knowledgeable or entertaining they are, but I'll take them in screen over Friedman every day of the week.

Maybe they have addressed it but it was an issue when they first opened the new facility.

That's every rink when it's just opened. It takes a while for ice plants to get in the groove of things - operating them isn't as simple as make em cold. There's a lot of complexity involved in getting the right humidity, the right temperature, particularly with complex HVAC and multiple adjacent connecting buildings.

You can stimulate that shit all you want, but you need to get it rolling. The players voted us second to the bell center last year.

They had an oversight with the HVAC too and some banners. If I remember right some of the heating units for the stands were too close to some of the banners or something and it was directing some of the heat towards the ice. They fixed it.

I’m enjoying the Amazon broadcast so far

I like the camera angles and I like how they have their mics set up. Can hear the crowd and the ice well. It’s all so drown out on sportsnet. The shots of the city during breaks are pretty cool too

Not crazy about the panel I guess but SNs isn’t great either 🤣
