Raymond loves to set up deep right along the edge of the post on the pp. Lafreniere could be good at that if he ever got a chance at pp time.

This is another good spot for them to not really flex but also not bend.

Play like good teams do and don't let them back in... lock it down and walk away w out the drama

Is this the Blais we can expect going forward or is he still recovering from his long time off? Didn't really follow him in St. Louis.
This is pretty close to full Blais. Keep in mind, on a bottom 6 line his offensive flare won't show up much esp with Carpenter. And Gauthier while decent at getting the puck to the net is not a huge passer. IF you put Blais on the 3rd with Chytil and Goody, you'd likely see a bit more skill coming out in his game. He's not a bad passer and has decent hands. But he is always going to be a complimentary player when it comes to offense.

Detroit broadcast was impressed by KK patience, and waiting for an opening before placing his shot perfectly.

Our PK numbers have been trending up, but we looked very poor down low, and are lucky Detroit didn’t pot one. Halak made a great read and never really bit before the pass back across the crease, stayed nice and deep and didn’t even make it over to that post before the pass back which he was ready for. Nice technique and read. Now please no wristers from above the dot sneaking between blocker and pad.

Up 2-0, grossly outplayed them at ES and people crying like they’re down by 5.

No wonder we’ve lost so many good posters.
I will say, we were good on O, but we again are giving up way too much space in our own zone. The Red Wings have a lot of really good skill. They can def score. Halak had a very strong period. Again, need more structure. But with Lindy out I cut the D some slack. I just want the forwards to pick up the slack more.
