I had a similar injury in high school hockey (way back in the 90s), but I was hit on the left side versus the right. Had one of the arteries collapse and had weird vision and a hospital visit.
Scary stuff. I took a slap shot off the trachea and that took a while to regain the ability to breathe. Neck contact is no joke in the wrong locations.

Looked like there was a pretty significant red mark on the side of his neck above the collarbone. Not sure what it could be other than some kind of blood flow issue, but I'm not an expert so.

It's a good sign that the medical staff weren't in overdrive mode to get him out of there. Obviously they were being quick, but it wasn't anything like the mad scramble on the bench when Bouwmeester collapsed.

Yea he looked like he had no idea where he was all of a sudden. Plus he didn't (Couldn't?) release his stick. I have no idea what happened, but I hope it turns out he's ok - according to the intermission report they took him to the hospital in an ambulance.
