The Rangers have been doing it for many years. They annoy me, what they really should do instead is copy MLB and have a green square on the boards and project an ad there. Granted, 25 years ago fans would have been complaining about the board ads.

Green square on the boards would also lead to the elimination of a permanent arena sponsor ad. They're not going to do that for TV.

I dunno, MLB does it. I would think the money generated by ads for TV would be higher. I mean for the World Juniors, TSN sells board ads strictly for TV, hence why there was Bell ads in Russia this year.
