I wouldn't be opposed, I don't think Appleton is a particularly strong foreckecker either. If the only requirement to play in that spot is to play with pace then Harkins should fit that role and I think he has better hands than Appleton.

But Harkins lost his spot in July while Bones was golfing so I doubt he's the next man up.
