Thought they might struggle. Jones is a huge loss. Nutivaara had been good with Savard on the 3rd pair. Not so much with Prout.

That's exactly what it is. You want to know why? It's the worst ice they've seen all year, and the puck won't settle. I'm not surprised the rookies don't know to simplify their games - but all of the D (except JJ) have had bad turnovers in the first.

I don't expect the team to recover, haven't shown the mental acuity to do so when the going gets tough. Gets tough they get shaky passes, start trying to force plays, make stupid mistakes. I'm always up to be shown wrong, though
