Kopitar hasn't exactly played well, but the Kings can't afford to have him out for a long time.

It doesn't matter, he's still a top center other teams want to match up against and can free up the Carter line. He's also one of the few scoring goals. Taken out by the equivalent of Raffi Torres who contributes nothing to the game of hockey.
