I live in Toronto, so fortunately I'm insulated from US poltical ads. But for some reason the Alberta UCP and federal CPC are running attack ads despite no election being called.

The closest would be a federal election since there's a minority government, but nothing seems imminent. Alberta won't have an election til 2027 so that's the one that bothers me the most lol.

He hasn't so he won't. Right now his evaluation is probably right around 5-5.5 x8. This is even assuming he's able to return to the mean this year. It's less if he sticks around in the doldrums of sub-.905 SV%.

Swayman, Ulmark, Ottenger is the bar set for young starting goalies. Saros is older but cheaper.

I mean we all could see Philp should have made the roster out of camp if the roster wasn't basically written in ink before camp already started... and they went with "vet" Dermott over Gleason as well who at least deserved a look as he's been easily one of the best dmen in the past 2 camps.

The (mis)management on this team definitely gets in its own way and stumbles a LOT... making things much, much harder for the overall roster.

It's almost like active sabotage each season... making every season a harder grind than it needs to be.
