Just a random thought but mcdavid must be watching this at home, maybe in a costume. I bet it’s painful for him to watch his team play without him but man wouldn’t it be cool to watch a game with McJesus lol i bet he goes nuts watching them

"Connor, where's the remote?
"It's in the cushions, DIG THE f*** IN."

outside of RNH, and a dumb, panic play by Kulak on the PK, I liked what I saw in the 1st. Keep it up boys.

PS - someone tell Nuge the season started over 3 weeks ago.

Pickard isnt hoping for a 8Mx8 extension. Skinner is.
The only way Skinner was getting 8 is if he put together a Vezina-calibre season.

He hasn't so he won't. Right now his evaluation is probably right around 5-5.5 x8. This is even assuming he's able to return to the mean this year. It's less if he sticks around in the doldrums of sub-.905 SV%.

with all the alledged fire power we have--how are we the 3rd lowest scoring team

Powerplay was ice cold.

Leon and Connor struggled through the first 5 games.

Hyman is cursed.

Nuge sucks.

For a while the only guys doing anything were the bottom 6 and Skinner, now they've dried up a bit too.

Right now? If Skinner does not turn things around, we will need to shop on the market for a goalie sooner than later

Making a player contract assessment under 25 games into a year is an exercise in futility. If you, oh I don't know, actually READ what I said you'd realize I was talking about where he's at with his current start, assuming he'd return to his career mean by the end of the season.

Goalies, outside of about 5-ish, maybe up to 8, are so voodoo. Unless you have one of the studs, I'd rather roll the dice on guys in the 3 million range. There are plenty of guys out there that are Mrazek, Skinner, Vladar, Talbot, Korposalo, and so on. Skinner has to go back to back seasons of .915 plus to even think about giving him 5 million a year, let alone 8 million.
