Refs were being bullied by the constant harrassment by the Blues and were afraid to call the instigator on the PP goal. Everyone in the building and watching on TV saw who was the aggresser. You can't say the refs, who do this for a living didn't see it, or were even expecting this type of thing to happen under those scenerios.

Yup. Backes premeditated that one but Scuds can't fall for it. Backes passed to himself and stayed just far enough off the board to give the launching head first motion upon light contact.
 
Guys guys,

The Kings can't let stupid calls beat them anymore.

No control over the Refs. Just play the game shut it down.
 
On a side note, Players wouldn't do that if the call was Two for boarding and Two for diving.

Brown is guilty of this as well.

If the League really wanted Diving out of the league, Two extra minutes for unsportsmanlike like conduct.

Diving Would Vanish.
 
I know it sounds weird but not feeling great about our chances here. Down to 5 D, one in the box to start the 3rd against a lethal powerplay, played last night, backup goalie in net...

Yeesh.
 
Some observations before this third starts...

Ellerby looks the part on this team. On a less defensively responsible squad, I don't know, but he can play the minutes, makes some mistakes but can cover them and skates pretty well.

That second line looks like our top line right now. Never expected this from Clifford but he looks like a threat playing top six minutes with top six players.

Blues will be desperate as well, should be a fun period of hockey.

Agreed on Ellerby, I missed the game yesterday but I am liking what I am seeing today. Very smooth skater, very nice looking passes. Looking good.

But it's still a very small sample size, we all remember how good Ran_y Jones was in his first few games here. I like Ellerby and in no way do I expect him to be like Jones, just saying, small sample size.

Also agree with Clifford, I never expected him to be above a 4th line grinder, but he is looking so confident with the puck, using his size well and his speed and puck protection looks much improved. Being down in ECHL in offensive role might have been the absolute best thing for him...
 
Clifford had to play heavy Minutes in the ECHL.

He is probably in the best shape of his life.

The Reign only play three lines.
