The 1 year committment to Lindgren was a pretty good sign that Drury has noticed his drop in play.

I wouldn't sweat November games. Both Jones and Mancini are still here, getting reps. Peaceful easy feelings

Lindgren has literally failed his way back up to the top pair.

Perhaps the 1 year deal should give us comfort for the long term view of Lindgren's place on the roster. In the short term we should be deeply worried because our HC has willingly bumped him back into a role where he's going to have a dramatically negative effect on the team (this was true when he got pushed to play with Trouba too but that wasn't enough.)
