Can we trade Zadorov for DeBrusk?
They're tied in goals for the season.

I had no problem with Zadorov last night. The 16 million dollar pair if McAvoy and Lindholm on the other hand. . .

Dude, you picked them to have 110 points and now you’re Mr They Don’t Have Any Talent.

What changed?

I don’t think the talent dropped from 110 point to 70 points. I think the effort and buy in has dropped.
I don't think it's effort as much as it is confidence. Also think what they're being told to "buy into" isn't clear or reinforced consistently.

Since we don't really know what's going on, I'll throw this out there: maybe it is the room, and the reason it never really became this dysfunctional before now was Bergeron. I am not saying Brad is necessarily a poor captain, but Bergeron was pretty much exceptional in every way. Last season his presence was probably still felt and fresh. Now there's some distance and whatever issues or problems that exist are out in the open and not being dealt with. I don't know, just throwing that out there. It's hard to explain how a team that is basically unchanged from last season in terms of its core falls off a cliff like this so many of them performing poorly.

Monty is gonzo. Two seasons ago he managed to lose after a 3-1 lead in charge of statistically the greatest team in nhl history. It was basically a self driven vehicle, no need for a driver, and yet, he managed to drive it off the cliff.

He punched his ticket out when he yelled at Marchand on the bench. Don’t care what Brad said to the media after, he’s not gonna tell them he wants him gone obviously. Marchand doesn’t seem to be the type that lets things go lightly. Nice knowing you Monty. Get this season back on track!

Again, don't care what's happening in Vancouver. I know what he's capable of within this system.

There’s about 6-8 players who were capable of producing in this system last year who are doing barely anything this year.

Why would it be any different?

Did some thinking about Monty's post-game " predictability" comment

Predictability is the repetition of action so the expected outcome is known .....which flies in the face of his mix master approach

Simply said- most athletes perform best when following a routine - be it pre game meal, corridor bumps or .......big surprise- on ice line-up.

What Monty is asking from players is something he isn't providing them....instead we get the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result

I don't think so. The last two seasons were very good.

Bergy was great but he wasn't here last season and the team was very good and chemistry was excellent.

IMO Brad is a great captain.

What i hate more than anything else is lack of effort. Lose games is fine if you give your best effort. I see one game this year where i can say majority have given best effort and that was Toronto game. Every other game has been pathetic effort wise

Truth is a large group here thought adding size was going to transform this team, instead we have lost the things that made us good the last 3 seasons and are instead way too slow and don't have enough skill to play the game they've been playing. They clearly need to add any speed + skill combo they have into the top 9

And that Toronto game was nothing to write home about.

That is an interesting question.

We all seem to feel there is a difference by the team play and results.... but no one can answer that question. Not even sure, Monty or Boston management can.

Have thought about it more, and it's got me thinking this is the worst coached game can remember. They were in disarray all night long. No structure. Lines were a complete mess. To put those lines together and against the Canes of all teams, and then to have zero adjustment in game.

Individually, a lot of Bruin players are having their own issues getting their games back. They don't need the coach losing their shit too. But last year left on his deal, with the terrible start, seems he's panicking knowing he's most likely on a short leash.

Unfortunately, it's hard to see this team getting it together anytime soon. Highly doubt they put it together in the next couple weeks. Rather not see Monty fired, but doesn't look good for him.

Also, that 5th goal the Canes scored on the PP. McAvoy and Peeke couldn't have played that any worse. McAvoy's hockey IQ is dropping game by game. The PK going to shit all of a sudden is the most unexpected thing.

Going to be an interesting Sat, Sun, Tues. They have to put out some points.
