Concerning how Judd Sirrot was harping on how many key pieces Carolina lost, all while they continued to run up the score.

The B's upcoming schedule is daunting. They are in the same predicament as the Sharks in that they don't get to play themselves.

Even though one attempted pass ended up a goal, they are still trying to be too cute on the PP. The PK is brutal. It's a good thing the tough guys aren't taking penalties sticking up for teammates, as they could lose by double digits.
Philadelphia, Seattle and Toronto? Those are three games they can win . Win !

Defensively that may of been the worst Bruins game since the final month of the Dave Lewis era.

Forget the fact that they can't generate squat 5 on 5. How did a Top 5 defensive team go all the way to the bottom 5?

Like we know that they aren't built for high scoring games. But for the defensive coverage to be as bad as it's been thus far, to be giving up high danger chance after high danger chance, there is zero excuse.

We know they have the personnel to be able to defend. It's on the coaching.
Goaltending masked a lot last year. Sway been average at best so far

Still they shouldn't be this bad this quickly.
I agree but #13 looks cooked compared to last year and 63 has lost his fastball. 73\25
are literally playing the worst hockey of their Boston careers and 88\18 are underachieving. That adds up to a mediocre to poor team.

That said, I ride it out to Turkey Day and hope they are no worse than 5 points out of a WC.

It's crazy when you then add Freddy, Geekie etc slumps. It's like they're all on drugs

I'm not sure how anyone can watch the on ice product and think waiting on anything is a good strategy. I don't think one single game this year has really been an improvement over the other but somehow they are still gonna push for playoffs? Seems a bit delusional to me.

Hard to win in a cap system when your top paid players aren't performing anywhere near their contracts.

With the late Thanksgiving and the compressed schedule, I'm not sure they can wait until 25 games are in the books before doing something about it. The only silver lining is even though they have 14 games in November, a lot of it is at home and a decent number of winnable opponents.

Not for a while.

By the way, I forget whether it was Steve Conroy or Mark Divver, but one or the other intimated that it was not Sweeney's decision to fire Butch.

That edict, apparently, came from Neely.
I’m pretty much done with the home town management team. They may know the business of hockey, but time & time again they’ve proven their total incompetence when it comes to building a full complimentary roster. Their leash should’ve been cut after the record breaking season failure

In the last 2 years alone the team has lost Bergy, Krech, Foligno, JvR, Shattenkirk, Forbort and Ullmark. Chara, Krug, Rask and Backes before that. Now some of those guys weren't in Boston long, but that's a ton of experience, leadership and culture that's walked out of the locker room and for the most part hasn't been replaced. Even Gryz, much as I'm sure he was a pretty quiet presence, he bled black and gold for obvious reasons. In a modem sports world of highly paid mercenaries, that's not common.

Sweeney would have hoped that the void would be filled internally by the likes of McAvoy, Pasta, Carlo, Coyle, Sway and Hampus, and perhaps Elias Lindholm too. But we're really not seeing it. I don't think Marchand is a bad captain, but to all appearances he's not getting much support. For all the changes, this is not a young team. In theory there's quite enough experience and intelligence in that room for these guys to sort themselves out. But it's not happening. Instead the culture looks to have turned sour. I don't know if it can be fixed quickly or easily.

The vendors for sure have to go, went to the Columbus Day game & tried to pay for an adult beverage with cash, but was told they don’t accept cash, but that I could tip in cash!
