Super glad we gave Swayman that NTC....:thumbd:
Swayman hasn't looked very good, although the defense was atrocious in the first period, and Carlo was more dangerous around the B's net then the Canes forwards

Sway will probably be banging his head against the wall when he gets home, wishing he went to a team with a better future and considering waiving his NTC

Actually.....they were both good in the first half and had predictable playing styles which helped. Who is the net front guy on this team? Buzz, there is none.
Maybe that's what Monty meant about “predictable to each other” in his comments tonight :sarcasm:

Remember when I said that Elias Lindholm was going to be the offseason’s biggest mistake for some team and that I hoped to hell it wasn’t Sweeney’s mistake?

Not that he’s the biggest issue on the team - but perhaps the money could have been spent a little more wisely.
i remember few analytics people I follow on Twitter saying last trade deadline that he’s pretty much a non factor 5v5 in terms of playdriving. Just good at shooting and needs others to do everything else. AKA kinda cheeks

I want Monty fired ASAP, then try to sign Quenneville if he still wants to coach

If not, then name Sacco as interim coach until the Flyers fire Tortorella...then sign Torts

Ta-ta Monty!

just trying to be too cute with the puck all the time. Turnovers just over the offensive blue line, overpassing, not playing Bruins hockey. The PP is embarrassing. They collapse so closely together on a 5v3 that it becomes easy for the defenders to cover all 5 Bruins because they’re all within an arms length of each other.

This team has dementia. They’ve forgotten how to play a little more each day since 2022.

Concerning how Judd Sirrot was harping on how many key pieces Carolina lost, all while they continued to run up the score.

The B's upcoming schedule is daunting. They are in the same predicament as the Sharks in that they don't get to play themselves.

Even though one attempted pass ended up a goal, they are still trying to be too cute on the PP. The PK is brutal. It's a good thing the tough guys aren't taking penalties sticking up for teammates, as they could lose by double digits.

This team is not nearly as bad as they are playing right now. It's obvious that Montgomery has lost the locker room and is the main problem. Fire his ass and things will turn around. They should have fired him two seasons ago but kept giving him another chance.

I know they probably don’t deserve it at this point and it most likely wont make a difference, but I would bring up the skill kids from providence. This team is too slow and not skilled enough.

His blender approach was pretty much the equivalent of this:
In a depressing thread, this made me laugh....and there are probably a lot of younger members who have no clue what it means. I remember playing teams and hoping for a snowman, I don't enjoy the tables being turned. That was such an ugly game.

I will now take the opportunity to ask for a favour and vote for @Gee Wally 's great nephew in the baby contest. He needs to win this round to go on. Voting is daily, please help! I post in the OT thread too but lots of people don't read it....so:

Who will be the 2024 Baby of the Year?

They suck right now.

They’ve sucked before and we knew they’d eventually suck again. It’s still salvageable in the standings, but man they look bad.

Outside of Pastrnak, there’s not much on this roster to get excited about. At least the Dave Lewis year, they just added Chara, and Savard was incredible to watch in the offensive zone. Thomas was very unorthodox, but would steal them some games and had a huge personality.

This team is very boring, and has zero personality.

I’ve been so busy with life that it doesn’t bother me.

There’s so much else to be entertained by. I’ve been loving HBO’s Penguin series.

This team has quit on the coach. I don't know what's going on, or why or how but when that happens the coach has to go. Maybe it's a leadership issue that they don't respect him or his game plan, I don't know. Yes the roster is flawed, but even an ahl team would look more prepared than this embarassment. Through 11 games not one area has shown improvement. PK and PP coach need to go as well. Complete failure to adjust. And please no Sacco or Leach.
If the team "quit" 6 games into the season, then I'd rather trade as many of the players than the coach.

They aren't signing Quenneville and for very good reasons. You can't talk about "culture" and hire that guy.
