Not gonna lie, Perunovich might be the least to blame on that play. Kessel got walked, Neighbours and Buchnevich with failed stick checks, and Texier didn't pick up his man and instead glided through the neutral zone. Peru could have stopped the back door pass, but by that point it was a 2 on 1.

Not holding my breath for Perunovich to turn into a quality NHL D, but I feel like people don’t give him a fair shake and I want him to succeed.

Yes, he went straight from the OHL to the NHL. But he didn't play in the NHL immediately after being drafted.

A good start to the period marred only by a bad defensive breakdown at the wrong time, and a couple others that didn't end up hurting them. The Flyers' defence is as bad or worse than The Blues, so I expect The Blues to take advantage of that in The 2nd and 3rd.
