What's up with Barron?
He does alot of really good things then he screws up majorly.
Very young D who needs at least this season.
He has great potential on the PP

Ylonen 8 points in 10 games on a team that is struggling.
Maybe Laval will finally develop a prospect into an NHL player.

Well technically, they did develop Evans and Pezzetta (that one is an especially great progression).

The skating is great. And there is NHL potential there. To me, it's not a maybe. He has the potential and the drive.
oh I thought the skating was always an issue with him. Or did he improve it this year?

Well if the skating is a non-issue/asset then I'm sure he's a prospect worth noting. I just assumed it was a hindrance and half wrote him off. Only seen highlights of him in the Q but I loved what I saw.

For me Ylonen is the perfect trade candidate

I know the talent is there, but there’s just something about him that doesn’t lead me to believe he’s part of teams long term plan.

Simoneau us a darn good player. Will he earn an NHL contract?

Just like RHP, I think the plan was always to give him an NHL ELC unless he really screwed up. They are just making use of the draft rights to maximize contract space.

Don't know what his value would be though. I've been sceptical of him for a long time and still am but I'd almost rather see what he has. I just don't think his trade value is that high. He's probably worth more to us than anyone else.

I could see you being right though. Maybe straight up for another project type. I just don't know if there's been enough progression to his game since being drafted. Hopefully he finds some consistency and another gear. Would be a shame with those tools but the clock's ticking.
