beyond the missed calls there was just some weird shit from the refs. When they chose to blow the whistle on the Canes’ last penalty was just bizarre. Some of the faceoffs locations made no sense, etc etc.

2. Engender outrage (“fan interest”)

At this point, I’d rather just eject fighting and penalize anything that results in blood. Hits etc leading to injuries result in long term suspensions (20+ games)
