Dowd still has a lot to learn at the NHL level, but I'm really liking his effort. About the only positive thing I can say about this game.

Gotta answer this, to these few know it alls on these boards, with my own know it all rant
first off, King has around the same minutes than Carter and Toffoli he's not a role player
second, two players i just can't stand are King & Greene (add Shore too), if i want to whine about them because i don't like them, that bothers you why?
third, i've been a fan since the 90s so i am very comfortable with losing games as it has always been the norm for LA, but if we happened to win 9 games in a row, i'd still wish that King Greene and Shore weren't on this team... now if a win streak occurs and i share my opinion on how much i hate these players, this bothers you why?
and fourth, if my 2nd and 3rd points are somehow argumentatively disregarded by you, why then, is your arguments any more valid? In actuality, i can confirm that you have no idea what the problem is with the Kings
Kopitar, Carter, Toffoli, Pearson, Doughty, Muzzin are NOT the problem
if they were all on a different team, they would be score ****loads right now,
if they had a better surrounding of role players ACTUALLY fitting their roles (i.e. on no planet is McNabb a #2D nor is King a #1 LW (even if it is for 5 seconds), back that with a modern day coach modern day players respond to (Sutter's system does well short term, long term it must get tiresome as hell)
if their bottom 6 F, bottom 2 D, and G were LEGIT players
we would not be having this conversation tonight
fix all bottoms, fix the system, stop making bone headed Sekera for picks type of trades (thankfully he finally learned this lesson, i hope) and stop thinking that you can Grind your way to a cup just because you did it before to unsuspecting teams (unfortunately he's very stubborn on this part; see Team USA circa 2016 for more info).

I'd say that if Rakell/Lindholm weren't re-signed, but now that they're back I could see them doing some damage. Vermette was also a solid move. I'm not sure why the **** DL thought it'd be better to get Purcell over Vermette. Carlyle is going to be the weakest link on that team. The point is, the Ducks are in far better shape than we are...

go check and see who Karlsson & Burns are outscoring on their respective teams
a D outscoring forwards does not mean there's a problem with the players that are being outscored
Alec Martinez is not Erik Karlsson and he's not Brent Burns. Holy ****.

Noooo freakin way another shutout! You gotta be kidding me! This is a highly skilled team with the likes of, Clifford, Stone Hands, Nolan, Guchi, Brown, King, Shore, I mean the list goes on and on....there are no excuses for this team getting shutout for three effin straight games. Shocked! 
Honestly though is anyone even surprised with this lineup that occasionally we prolly aint gonna score much. Onto the next shutout.

Getz/Kesler isn't a 1/2 combo that's going to get you to the promise land. D is too young and by the time they're ready Getz/Kesler will be done.
Oh yeah... and when they buyout Bieksa so they don't have to protect him in the expansion draft next year they get a $4M cap hit penalty for buying out a 35+ contract.
I'm just going to mentally prepare myself to pick 1st overall. + Muzzin if you want to blind side another refs like last season, please go ahead. Oh the game, yeah might as well let Scuderi play.

Most of the chances are coming from guys like Brown/Clifford/Lewis. Top 2 lines are getting shut down and have anchors to drag around. It isn't working.

or that specifically Martinez?
I can swear that when i read your comment it clearly states that when a D outscores your forwards there's a problem
