I really hate to be that guy this early in the season but it is apparent to me that Bannister was not the correct choice. This team does not need a player's coach they need a taskmaster, someone in the same lane of a Ken Hitchcock.

Schenn has fallen off offensively, Neighbours and Saad are more "score goals, no passing" type players. And everyone else seems like 3rd liner/low end 2nd line type players or kids.
Okay, so Neighbours is a 3rd liner. Schenn too. Saad as well.

Which one of Kyrou, Buchnevich and Thomas do you also say is bottom 6?

They have their issues that frustrate me and Ive mentioned it in this thread but come on

That said I dont think its Bannisters fault they will be 5-5 after this clown show

Oh I agree, just the wrong coach at the wrong time in the teams rebuild/retool window. Need a coach the beat the details into the core. Say what you will about Hitch's time in the St. Louis, you continued to see the results of his coaching long after he left. He wasn't the guy to finish the project (win the cup) but he was the guy to set the foundation. We need that guy again.

Schenn is not a third liner. He is a 4th liner being paid like a first liner.

These past 2 games are the real Blues IMO when the goaltending does not hold their hands.

For 6 weeks. Not forever.

Is he talking about roster construction or the immediate injury issues?

I dont know how you can claim Neighbours isnt top 6 material right now either. He's not a playmaker but hes a steady player who puts the puck in the net. You need those guys and when you pair them with a playmaker they absolutely are top 6. its the cap-era my dude

Thomas is injured. So hes not even in the equation right now, would have expected that to be understood by me stating "no top 9 level centers". So currently Kyrou and Buch are currently the only top 6 forwards we have.

Saad, Neighbours, and Schenn are fine as 2nd line complimentary pieces, but they need a top 6 player to compliment or a player that they can play off of, mainly due to their playstyles a passer. None of Saad, Schenn, or Neighbours is a passer. And our best passer is out injured.

Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's Memphis bound
Well, leavin' here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Lord, I'm leaving here, I'm just a raggedy hobo
Well, that woman I'm in love with, Lord, she's got to go

Well, goodbye pretty mama, get yourself a money man
Goodbye, pretty mama, Lord, get yourself a money man
You take that midnight train to Memphis
Lord, leave if you can
Oh, take that midnight train to Memphis
Lord, leave if you can
