Was worried there for a bit in the 2nd, and when they tied it, but thankfully the Flames got it together again. Flames deserved to win this game overall. I guess it was kinda fitting that it was such an 80s style game for the first BoA playoff match in a long time.

I would like to see more from Dube, Jankrok and Toffoli. Need to chip in offensively, Oilers are a good side to break the duck.

Honestly thought they were good especially Dube dude can't buy a goal but he is all over the ice
We have given up a lot for Jarnkrok, good defensively but wish him all the best to pot one. Needs one of his back side and then he scores a hattie the next game.

He didn't spend his night in the box nothing to criticize
He spent part of the night in the box tho so there are many takes to be had.

I don't know when Markstrom started to get shaky but I noticed it against the Stars. This game is when he nearly choked the game away.

The Stars anemic offense had me wishing for a more offensive playstyle. Be careful what you wish for.

Yea I think I've just accepted Jankrok will never score and no matter who he plays with they won't either so as long as they don't get beat and don't kill momentum I can live with that

He did have the 1 bad penalty but he had more goals tonight then all of round 1 so that's a massive improvement.

Markstrom was great in game 7, tonight was trash but he battled in the third and with all this talk of 80s hockey he did his best Fuhr impression and gave up 6 but not a 7.

I mean, it was a great game... But not 80's style. The only gloves dropped were penalized and the refs were diving between altercations like a soldier diving onto a grenade.

I would have loved to see Kane or Kassian get their faces rearranged, but I suspect the memos have gone out to keep the battle of Alberta from resembling the 80's at all. It's too bad, last time I saw that kind of scowl on Lucic it was during a run to the cup.

Great game though. 9/10 times Marky keeps that under 3 goals

let’s not make the mistake some made with Talbots and throw the goalie under the bus after 1 bad game

Luckily the Oilers gotta be thinking the same thing. Smith was baaaaad. And no contender should be comfortable with Koskinen as a starter.

Was a terrible playoff game overall. But when you look at what the Flames did to the Oilers, it’s similar trends to what they did to Dallas. But now we’re facing an Oilers team with a pathetic defence and goaltending. McDavid just needs to slowed down, this will be over in 6.
