Hopefully Houle will play him 20 min/game and be fired by the 5th game.Good vet, he will make a great Captain

Remains to be seen as to how many minutes he plays, but it wouldn't be surprising if an 18 year old doesn't get that much ice time in his ahl debut. St. Louis just did that with Slafkovsky in the nhl.Mesar and Mysak are 4th line
f***ing can Houle already
You never want to give the C to a legit prospect...its like the kiss of death. In the AHL you need seasoned pro's to help mentor the youth and between Bourque and Belzile they have two very good leaders.Hopefully Houle will play him 20 min/game and be fired by the 5th game.
Kind of odd way they are handling him. Don't think I have seen this beforeHe'll be in the line-up tonight.
He was centering a 5th line at practice the other day. But he will play tonight.
Eventually, it could end up being better for him to play top line minutes in Kitchener, but I'd like to see him in Laval first and see if he can do enough to work his way up the line-up.
Worst case, he doesn't push his way up and is sent down to Kitchener.
And Barron never saw the ice in OTI just caught the game at 5-5 and watched the OT.... Norlinder was brutal, very disapointing. And Primeau was shaky in OT
Houle rotated Bowie, Leskinen, Norlinder. And Barron never saw the ice in OT
Follow this guy.Didn't watch the game, but Belleville was leading 4-1 with 5 minutes left in 2nd, but Laval made it 4-2 before period ended.
Laval scored early in 3rd to make it 4-3. Belleville makes it 5-3.
Then Laval scores 2 goals 2 minutes apart to tie, with only 4 minutes left in game.
They lose in OT.
Bowey, Gignac, Ylonen, RHP & Bourque score for Laval.
RHP & Bourque get 1st & 2nd stars, respectively.
Primeau makes 32 saves off 38 shots for a .842 save percentage.
Anyone have video?
Man this feels like Lefebvre playing Louis Leblanc on the third line all over again. And Barron never saw the ice in OT
JF Houle says that Mesar needs to play regular season games so the organization can properly evaluate if they need to send him to Kitchener. There is no rush and it will take the time it will take before they decide.
JF Houle giving praise to Simoneau. He said he didn't have him penciled in his line-up at that spot at the start of camp, but to his credit, Simoneau pushed some vets down or out of the line-up.
Some of the vets that helped during Laval's playoff run last year will not play tonight. JF Houle says that some young guys are pushing for spots.
