Man...I have no TV subscription so I'll have to watch the season opener on a low quality stream. :cry:
 
The game will be broadcasted live in HD here in Italy...outside it's snowing...Perfect Hockey Saturday.

I've never been more excited for a season opener in my life. I wish I could be there in person. If anyone gets an extra banner (I don't care how many corporate logos are splashed across it) they don't need I would love one. I wonder if there is going to special merchandise for this? I know MLB and the NFL always have Parade shirts and whatnot that the Kings didn't. MLB teams generally have a patch on their uniform hats too.

Anyone know if the FSW pregame show is streaming somewhere?

Last season I brought a cheapish digital camera with me and had no issue. The biggest thing security seemed a little worried about is the extra batteries I had (my camera isn't rechargable and takes AAs), gave them an extra once over and I was off and on my way.

Just make sure that your camera isn't a video camera or at least easily identifiable as one. I know they aren't allowed at Staples. My little digital camera does take video, so I was able to take some at the game I was at.

I just gotta check Rexall's rules since I bought a ticket yesterday to the February 19th game in Edmonton and I am sitting against the boards. A cool $300 later, but it will be fantastic.

That looks pretty good, except they screwed up the number font on the Gretzky era ones. They should have ensure the font was the same. But a minor quibble all the same. I kinda thought they'd unveil all of this during the ceremony though.

Are the non-2012 team banners up too? Did they put up the 1992-93 Smythe Division banner or did they just take what was on the wall and hang it?

Anyone going to the Clippers game tonight or a Lakers game tomorrow? If so, I want to know if these stay up for the basketball games. I would be super upset if they take these down for the NBA. Rogers Centre in Toronto does this with the Toronto Argonauts banners and it upsets me, even though I cheer for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
 
just finished watching the Kings Championship DVD, finished watching Game 6 of the Finals and the SC Celebration ceremony.

I am now ready to raise the banner and defend the Cup. #WeGotTheCup

They're all different from what they were on their respective jerseys, actually. I assume they wanted it all consistent.

...it's weird now that I think about more it because every jersey had some sort of the sports block letters on the actual jersey, yet they decided to go with a more round one for these.
 
Seeing Bob and Jim is bringing all those feelings back.... Man, I am so excited.

As always, I love this team no matter what, but it sure feels good to be the champs!!

Isn't Luc's right? Looked like the right font for that era. Either way it is nice they realized the tradition of hockey. I'm also happy they left the Lakers and Sparks stuff on the wall.

I'm sure the banners are permanent for all games.

I think the font consistency was intentional, because all the previous champion banners are also redone, all in the same font as well (they are on other side of me and I can't get a good shot from here, I have a light standard in the way).

Do they block the Lakers banners? I guess I was thinking there is no way the Lakers would let them keep them up if you can't see the Lakers banners. I have a feeling fairly soon, the Lakers banners will also be hanging from the rafters.
