If they look inept, though, I would expect him to be fired next summer.

Yeah, I don’t think the players will do anything to spite Sullivan. He’s their guy. But to the point at which you have 4 hall of fame players on your roster and you continue to face the same systemic issues over and over again. . . At some point management has to correct course.

I love Sullivan. I think he’s smart, well-spoken, has good judgment and values. He saved Sid and Malkin’s legacies. I’d hate to lose him. But it’s clearly not working at all.
