I know some of our usual suspects wearing A's tend to see the first couple of months of the season as a glorified training camp, where they can mostly skateabout - but it would be nice if they didn't.

I would never break up with NYR, but if I did and ran into them I'd be singing "I keep forgetting we're not in love anymore".

I think I accumulated some rust. Let's work out the kinks:

Krieder and Zibs are as inseparable as an infant and their blanket, or a wife and her husband's wallet;

Shesterkin is Lundqvist 2.0...or Shesty wishes he could carry Lundy's jock;

Kakko is more useless than an air freshener in a coffin;

Lavy looks like he hasn't aged a day over 85;

Miller poke checks are as money as Raygun is to breakdancing;

Panarin is good...until the playoffs;

Trouba makes me want to wish I met the guitar guy in person, just so I could borrow his guitar and go Jeff Jarrett on Trouba's head. Depending on my buzz, I may threaten guitar guy with the fretboard.

So, yeah. I think I'm ready.

I agree. Who knows but it sure seems like some guys don’t train much in the offseason. Seems very unprofessional to me.

Rangers will overpass, cede the blueline and get caved in 5v5. Igor will make a couple unreal saves but still let in 2-3. Powerplay scores twice and the Rangers win by a couple to make it looked like they played well. Same as always.

What it takes to win particularly on the road is what matters. The Pens will be jacked just for their home opener. I don't think they'll be a playoff team but you should always take your opponents seriously....or you will lose.

It's also about breaking in the new guys---hopefully Mancini, Edstrom, Rempe all play well.
