Smith had a funny comment on the hair during a five news story last night. Something to the effect of "My mom is always on my case to cut it, but my fans like it and I can't let them both down". Haha.

I like it. Will only increase the hate. I love the hate. He should grow a Randy Johnson fumanchu to go with it. LaBarbera can show him how it is done.

Right now with the talk going around for NHL Center Ice, the package price for this season is around $50 according to the rumors but there is a free preview from Jan 19th to Jan 31st.

I love Smith's hair. I believe has officially reached the level of "sick flow." Although generally you don't get to enjoy that from goalies all that often.

I found a quote that at least in 2010, the total was $171. So (48/82)*171 is about $100. The offer is less but still.

I saw the free preview a few seasons ago and there was only one game in HD. The rest were SD. I hope that's changed by now, but I think that may up to the cable provider, not the NHL.

It looks like the Gamecenter option is also $50 and is all HD, though. If that product is as good as MLB's, I think that is a much better choice.

I'm waiting to see what FSAZ does before I drop money on gamecenter. If they end up covering all 48 games to make up for lost revenue, there'd be no point.

I doubt it changes. I remember 2 years ago watching a game against Carolina in which it was only the Jumbo Tron feed...a long way to go NHL.

This, there have been a couple of these type of games in recent memory. Why neither club has a televised feed with announcers in this day and age of technology is beyond me.

Garbage, he is going to miss almost 20% of the season.

Yeah, but it is what it is. I doubt there could be a quick appeal between now and the first game about it, but we can deal. Who knows, it could be a good thing. He can be 8 games fresher than everyone else on the ice.

Not to mention, he may not be neutered now as a result of the new 3rd party policy that goes into place for suspensions that go 6 games or more. Usually, when a 3rd party gets involved in the process they tend to rule more in favor the non-managment employee than someone in management.

I wonder if we'll get the regular thing for this back to back. Smith then Babar the 2nd game. Or start Smith home vs. Chicago. Maloney talking about maybe having Babs go down to Portland on a conditioning assignment maybe.
