Focused mainly on my Yankees right now (ducks rocks from the crowd), but pumped for a new season. Hoping Koko has a big year :)

You know, given we are getting more and more banners, I wonder if it would be worth going back to the banner arc they had before the Cup banner was raised, that you can kind of see in this panorama from the 2006 Game 7

Also, its really f***ing stupid that NC State has 2 banners for each of their basketball National Championships hanging in PNC. Like WTF

I've had that same question for a long time. My completely unfounded assumption is that they must have kept banners from Reynolds and then also raised new ones when they opened PNC. It doesn't make much sense and I've actually seen people get confused about how many titles NC State has won because they're just counting banners and not looking at the dates.

We all know the reason is because they want to look like they have the same history of success as UNC and Duke, and have a little banner envy over it.

Its just sad. Get rid of the duplicates. If you want to have ones from Reynolds hanging, hang them back up in Reynolds.

This almost seems like there is a story behind the duplicates. Like maybe they got duplicates as backup, some technician was told "hang 2 of them" and he did exactly that. Then some committee Galaxy brain thought it looked good.
