Challenge #1 - Watch this and try not to well up



Now, I know some teams had their first game yesterday, but the season doesn't really get started until the true elites of the league play, and guess what we have going on tonight?

Oh, that's probably a little too much, lets make it a little more realistic

That's better.

Anyway, so how did the offseason go for everyone?

Ok, so at least we have a good season ahead of us, right? We picked up Pacioretty for like less than nothing, he's totally going to be balling out tonight, right?

Goddam, IR already? Well, probably time to check up on some of our former players. Ian Cole seemed to have a good season with us last year, wonder how he's doing in Tampa. Best team in the league the last few years, has to be doing well, right?

Well damn!

So anyway, game is tonight. 7pm start, sellout crowd, and Standing Room Only tickets are being sold. Everyone in attendance gets a flag (wheee) and there should be decent weather for tailgating. Have a great day, and we'll see you soon!

BJ's at Canes. Okay. I hope the Canes don't choke tonight. They really need to swallow their pride and really go for the throat. I hope they don't blow their load too early like Columbus did last year. It's important to spit last year's playoff loss out of their mouths and get ready to score at will. In conclusion the BJ's suck and they should probably go down tonight.

Here's my take going into the season on the lines.

1st line - We've stayed the same
2nd line - Tro to KK was a downgrade for right now. KK has a good chance to step it up though. I think Svech & Necas take big steps. I say this evens out to the same production as last year.
3rd line - I give this a slight downgrade. Nino I think was a lot better fit than Stastny will be on that 3rd line.
4th line - I'm gonna say this is about even too. Kase is a wildcard tho, he could be a great depth player for us.

*Patches coming back changes thing.

1st pair - Was already good even with TD. But expecting a big bump up this year with Burns. I really think this might be the best D pair in hockey this year, gonna be fun to watch.
2nd pair - Same as last year
3rd pair - I think we see a nice boost here with the different options we have.

Goalies - The same. Though Freddie has me a little worried coming back from injury.
