All my stuff is packed, including my Turbo helmet, which will go on at 1pm and won't come off again until this win is in the books. Also will bring along my Gleason gloves in case there is any ruff shenanigans.

Waiting on Sheriff Bart to get here and then we will head over for some LONG OVERDUE all day tailgating.

BEAT THEY ASS, GO CANES.
All your stuff is packed your ready to go leaving on a turbo car don't know when you'll be back again.. (Set to the tune of a famous song)

If slavin is a game time decision I'd probably just go ahead and sit him. I'd really hate doing it and I'm glad its not up to me, but I think we can handle one game without him and would much rather be able to send him over the boards with confidence in game 2

Thing is if he's rested for over a week, and he's still a game time decision, another couple of days probably isn't going to make a difference. It sounds like he's gonna go with a minor injury regardless. They really need to win these 2 home games. They're gonna need him.

The absence of Slavin really makes clear the need for us to keep Skjei past the ED unless we have another top-4 LHD in mind. If Skjei goes and Slavin gets injured at any point, then your 1LD becomes Jake Bean or *shudders* Gardiner, and that's just NO

Yup, this was the way I'm thinking about it. It's probably something that at some point will have to be played through/with and might have some risk of aggravation even if he felt fine with an extra two days.

Dangle $5.25 mil in free agency and that should pull someone decent. That's why I'm not sold on Seattle taking him if he's exposed. Skjei's a true #4 type signed to a market value-ish contract.

Is this what fans of good teams feel like? Excited but not planning their entire day around the first playoff game?

I mean my butts gonna be on the couch at 8pm sharp, don't get me wrong. But when the last playoff game was 8 months ago not 8 years ago, they hit a little different.
I’d have called in to work and been enjoying today like a national holiday

Who are pending UFA top-4LD though? Martinez, Montour, Oleksiak, 1 year of Goligoski?

Oleksiak is the name that stands out. A short-term deal for Martinez or Goligoski works. Reilly is having a nice season, if they buy into him. It might be time for Edler to move on. Add Murray, Kulikov and Forbort as 4/5 flex options.

Pesce's positional versatility allows the team to look at RHD too. That makes Savard a potential option. Ditto Larsson, if he doesn't re-sign.

Especially when he doesn't finish the sentence...What did they say Rod?!?

Literally the word "redacted". Then refused to say anything else. That was the quote.

TIL that Kyle Gass went to f***ing Juilliard.

This doesn't surprise me at all. Tenacious D is in the same category as Weird Al, where you gradually come to realize that sounding ridiculous and also sounding like a professional musician requires a higher order of talent.
