Where does he have the Jets? Because they came into tonight 22nd in xGF% and honestly I wouldn't put them in the upper half of the league as it is. They've shown flashes that hopefully they build off of but their record is pretty flattering as is.

They've played well against objectively bad teams and got paddled xG against mediocre to good teams. The Jets are exactly where you'd expect them to be - right in the middle.

Pionk missed a perfect setup in that interview.
When asked why the penalty kill is looking better, he should have said “because we’ve had a lot of practice lately.”

I still don’t understand how he and Chipman came to the conclusion this was the best coaching staff available.

I don't mind a lot of what they are doing but I am still left scratching my head that we want lunch bucket style coaches with a largely finesse based top end talent base.

No issue with coaching high pressure and compete systems but there needs to be a skill component involved when the top 6 is on the ice.

I think that the Jets held out so long for Trotz over candidates moved on rather than not wanting to gone here.
Bowness did seem like a consolation prize.

That's my thoughts as well. My guess is we could have gotten Monty had we moved on from Trotz earlier. Sure a top 3 coach like Cassidy wasn't coming here but we could have gotten some others imo.

we need to change what ever were trying to do on zone exits, majority of our problems come off of failed exits
Agreed.
This is where the majority of those extended dzone shifts have been. Pionk+Morrissey seem to be out there alot for it. They need to tighten up, and get the puck out faster
