It seems they're really unsure of what to do. In the pre-season we saw a lot of little passes into the middle of the ice (sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't). I thought they would continue to use that approach but be more judicious about it.

It's a good play if it's there as teams really block off the boards on outlets.

But, right now it seems nobody's in synch with how to approach an outlet pass.
