The Oilers Achilles tendon is their goaltending
They do have a forward group

Us and them are a neat contrast on how to build a hockey team. Elite top end forward group and weak goalting vs very average top six and elite goaltening

I think that if posters on here realized that having an elite goalie means that you don't always have to win all your forward matchups to be successful, they'd shut the f*** up a bit and just be happy when we win

On the flip side, we often over value the rest of the team not realizing that Hellebucyk is the literal glue that holds this plus size model together

The funniest part is the SN announcers having to constantly remind Oiler fans we aren't an ECHL team, and do indeed play in the NHL
