Defensive structure a bit lacking that period but Helle dialed.

Scored 2 goals but I thought we were 1 or 2 missed or bobbled pucks away from a few more. All 4 lines looked on the verge of creating some good looking chances. Just fighting the puck and out of sync a few times. Good start.

First period was pretty disjointed for the most part. Jets had trouble making offense and outlet passes, but made good on their chances. Oilers are also pretty rusty, so it's good to get this game out of the way before either team sharpens up for the season. Good on Lowsy for identifying that bank pass off of Skinner's pad and drawing all of the defense to him with that slot rush. Bucky looks dialed in. Haven't heard much from the 2nd line so far. Namesnikov isn't a 2nd line C. Wish we had someone that could actually step in for that role.
