My point is that it's a one off. I'm saying that there's very little chance he'll score 30 again.
If you think it's progression of his career then you'll have not issues putting some real money on it
Ohh please, Ghallagher can easily his 30 again. I don't think he will hit 40 but this past season is not a one off.

Still haven't had anyone with enough conviction to lay money on another 30 goal year. Just lip service.

I think it is reasonable to assume Gallagher scores 30 again. He did it last year, he had 24 a couple of years back. I dunno, I wouldn't call it a lock but he certain is capable. Just my two cents.

He's only 25. I see no reason why he won't hit 30 again. He also seems like the type of player you keep to instill work habits in the younger players. He's even reaching that veteran label.

There's also not reason why you should.
Any team trading for Gallgher should expect 20-25 goals

goals per 82 game season
2012-13 - 18.6
2013-14 - 19.2
2014-15 - 24
2015-16 - 29
2016-17 - 12.8
2017-18 - 31

career avg is 22.4

Great stats dude. excpet for 2016-2017 where he got his hand fractured again, you see a constant progression. What amaze me is, when it's about Habs players, progression is a non-existent concept but boy, oh boy, do regression is inevitable starting at 28-29 years old.

When did this discussion diverge from the trade to whether Gallagher can score 30? Sure, I'd love to have BG on my team (the Oilers) but I ain't paying 9th overall + more for an undersized oft injured winger. He's not a player that will vault Edmonton from borderline playoff team to cup contender.

I'll take that bet.
12-13 on pace for 28 goals
13-14 on pace for 19 goals
14-15 on pace for 24 goals
15-16 on pace for 29 goals
16-17 on pace for 13 goals
17-18 on pace for 31 goals

He's averaged 24 goals per 82 game season over his career. While I don't think for a second that he's a perennial 30 goal scorer; he certainly has the ability to do it a few more times in his career.

This is bookmarked. No lame excuses if he gets traded to a more talented team, nor will I give any for injuries, linemates, etc

Ghallagher is a heart and soul kind of guy, which BergyBust values the most, like any other GNM, so he will NOT be traded unless there is a substantial over-payment.

Although I love the fantasies of some fans thinking they are going to convince the universe that their deal makes sense to anyone but them and their fan base.
