Can't imagine the mental toughness and growth he has had to endure and push through the last few years

He sustained a cut from Makar during the 2020 playoffs and it started from there.

He did a 45 minute interview with Altitude that’s a good watch. He not only talked about the physical recovery as well as the mental side of his career being in limbo. Highly recommend, it’s on YouTube.

Helps when you've got $50 mill in earnings to go on vacations. It's also easy to imagine, just look at older people working in construction. Many of them are pushing through with injuries and such for little money.

He hasn’t played in almost 3 years. Hardly Tampa/Vegas.

If Colorado has used his cap space and Landeskog is ready for day 1 of the playoffs but not a moment sooner, it’s exactly the same as Tampa/Vegas.

The question isn’t the validity of the injuries. It’s the timing of health coinciding exactly with the moment it no longer becomes a cap concern.

It’ll be the same if Kane is ready day 1 for the Oilers.

All of these teams are circumventing the cap and the league just looks the other way.
