Gabriel Landeskog participates in full Avs practice for first time in 995 days

How is this the same?

He’s been out for 3 seasons and is coming back from an injury and surgery no other hockey player in history has attempted to return from.
Cap wise I’m meaning.. if he comes back for playoffs

I’m just having some fun and joking around with it… it’s a cool story him making it back

It’s thrilling news, even in a limited capacity…it does remain to be seen what kind of impact he can have if he actually gets back to real game time. Last time we saw him, 2021-22, playoffs and regular season combined he had 41 goals and 81 points in 71 games. He was not only the captain hoisting the Cup, he was a beast of a player.

He was also 29 then. He’s 32 now and almost 3 years removed from a real game. It’s fascinating to think about what role he might fill if everything holds up and he can stay healthy. Obviously, expectations will be far, far removed from last time we saw him.

It’ll be the same in the sense that a player returning for game 1 of the playoffs but not being healthy enough to return for game 82 to allow the team to remain cap compliant until they no longer have to be is cap circumvention the league has never cared about.

That’s if Landeskog is ready for game 1 of course.

Nobody freaking out about this??!! Or is that only when Tampa or Vegas does this kind of stuff lol
The big difference is that Landeskog hasn’t played a single game since June of 2022, and if he does return, I highly doubt he will be the player he once was. I don’t like the cap situation for ltir abuse, but at least this was a legitimate injury where Landeskog was questionable to ever play again.

This feels like Stamkos coming back on one leg and just not being able to play.

Landeskog said he's not pain free when playing hockey so ... this doesn't feel like a miracle comeback

Love to see it.

Was bummed Cody Hodgson never got a call up to Nashville last year. Another black mark on Trotz’ record.

...are you kidding??...this isn't a Mark Stone "report to your annual LTIR checkup" deal; this guy hasn't played in 3 years and is coming back from a Career Ending injury...there shouldn't be a single person out there, no matter how much you may dislike the Avs, that doesn't luv this Story...

why do they call it Rhode Island when it is neither a road nor an island?

Why is it that we drive on parkways but park on driveways? Why does NHL player Derek Morris get buzzcut haircut? What kind of car does NHL player Derek Morris drive?

Has anyone really been so far as decided want do look more like?
