What kind of pick? What kind of cap dump? I would attach a mid round pick to be clear of Trenin outright, and I'd be willing to trade him for a similar bottom six player who's slightly cheaper and can skate.
If some other team was trying to pass off Trenin to us, what pick would you want to take him back? Would a mid round pick be acceptable?

No. Like I said, I'm open to cap for cap then. But Trenin is the guy you wanna get rid of, I'm not getting rid of Hartman just because it's harder to get rid of Trenin.

If it's cap for cap, the move is mostly pointless unless some team is willing to trade a better player for Trenin...

When Trenin was on his knees? Yeah I'm good with that, fight doesn't end when a guy's on his knees, they pop up. It does end when a guy's back-down on the ice.
I disagree. On his knees on his way down. Not in control. He's vulnerable. I'm going no further with this as I don't see any way we agree on it.

I'd look for a guy who has less term than Trenin, and attach a mid round pick for the difference. I'm fine taking a lesser player back too if they have different traits, and a better contract.

Trenin getting ejected means the DoPS will take a look at it, he could face a suspension.

But that ref stole a goal from the Wild, should be 2-2 now...this really sucks

Agreed. I don't see how that punch Trenin received when he was on his knees and had no way to defend himself was different from the one Trenin threw near the end. Tit for tat, aggressor got a bit of colour, too bad.

And fights don't end when one guy is on the ground/ice either. They end when the other party is unable to throw back, or it's interrupted.

You can watch fights all the time where guys go down to their knees and punches are still thrown and the guy pops right back up. You can go back and watch this one and see it happen.

You don't see punches thrown when a guy is laying on the ice. Those guys aren't popping right back up. It's over.

They're not remotely the same position. It's not up for debate.

E: Not to mention, the ref was already attempting to intervene and break it up when Trenin threw it.

Someone can fact check me, but I believe if we miss the playoffs we will break the NHL record for latest a team has held first in the nhl and missed the playoffs. We’d be breaking a record set by the 2011-12 Wild.

I still think Hartman is gone regardless. We can still do your suggested trade too. I wouldn't mind that at all.

I mean, whatever, I would trade pretty much anyone on this team if I thought it would help. My concern is that Guerin is going to trade Hartman and maybe Rossi and those will be his only changes and it won't actually improve anything.

But Nelson or Boeser will save us.
