Hoping we split up the Kap line. Zucc’s effort level was embarrassing last night. That line is easy to defend when they aren’t competing.

It’s entirely possible the team wants to finish in wc2 position , they know for a fact they’ll only have to “play” 4 post season games against the jets and they can babble away about how Hellebyuck was amazing and they ran into a generational goalie at the top of his game and blah blah blah
I actually thought Kaprizov was a bigger problem. Couldn’t seem to handle the puck and skate at the same time.
I’m hoping they split Brodin-Faber. Their xGF% from last night was like 18% lol.
Yeah, maybe should put Mojo on his line to help with zone entries and general puck carrying. Him and Zucc get way too cute

These impact stats are telling a lot about team performance. Kaprizov and Zucc were pretty bad last night, but Faber and Brodin were flat out awful. Faber hasn't been good lately, he's on the bottom of those stats a lot.
I can't believe the Wild may still lose a playoff spot, allowing the Flames to sit only 3 points behind, and the Blues are also right there.

The Wild get mauled by Calgary. What chance do they have in the playoffs against Winnipeg or Vegas? The only reason I stay up to watch the shit show tonight is if Zeev plays.
Vancouver is a complete dumpster fire so we should smoke them and then all the homers will be right back to thinking we are contenders

Unless they're signing him at the arena, you shouldn't waste your time, he's not on the payroll yet and the game is less than 5 hours from now.

They’ve been a dumpster fire since 21-22 , that was this cores shot and Ek broke his leg. That was the window and Guerin decided to punt on speed and skill and prioritize the on ice product you are seeing now. He loves slow plodding pylons as long as they are above average size

The problem is everyone else in the division have better speed and skill except maybe Chicago. Also we suck at faceoffs and have 5 or 6 guys who don’t like to go to the “hard areas”. Yea it’s partly Guerins fault but some of our players are

Our two most irreplaceable players missed half the year along with a bunch of other injuries. I’ll take our projected lineup in October over 20+ teams.
I do want to trade some guys this summer. Specifically Hartman, who only actually moves his feet about 25% of games and isn’t nearly skilled enough to get away with it. Possible Spurgeon too, because adding Buium to a blueline that already lacks size and crease clearers seems less than ideal

Gus sucked last night. The 1st goal was all on him. Yea he has been good, probably kept us in the race. But we need more if we have any hope of advancing in the playoffs.

But how do you pass on signing parise/suter? It had to be done or you are not trying, at least you can say we had an owner and management who tried. Little doubt it wasn't enough at a time when the hawks and kings ruled the west but it was a worthy effort.
