Miss the playoffs altogether or 2. make the playoffs and get stomped?… I feel like if we miss, Guerin can blame injuries. if we make it and are basically deploying a full roster, how do you grapple with the fact that largely the same group has been a joke in the playoffs for 5-7 years, depending on your definition of the same group.

I’m fine with 30ish points at that number as long as he’s lockdown defensively. That’s been far from the case so far this year, though.

It all just goes back to how much Kaprizov drives on this team. First 40 games, when Kaprizov predominately played, we're talking 20 points and +13. Next 34 games where he didn't and it's 6 points and -16.

If we miss the postseason, he'll use the injury excuse. Honestly, I don't think we have a chance in the postseason either, because our special teams is still a problem. Can you imagine our PK against the Jets? We're probably gonna be eaten alive. I just see Guerin moving Rossi and bringing in Nelson.....overpaying Nelson.

My ideal move this summer would be to move Guerin.

Think I agree with you. Making the playoffs and getting rolled in 4 (maybe 5) would have to create a reckoning.

If I had to choose, sitting in 7th place with 3 games to go, game #80 being a 'win and in' and one game against the Ducks (even though they're plucky) and missing the playoffs would be more of a letdown.

7th and 8th seeds are supposed to lose to 1st and 2nd seeds.

I don't really care who's there, both are pretty interchangeable, but nonetheless I'm still curious. I usually watch the game with the volume low, on mute or have the guitar up so loud it drowns out the audio. So I have zero idea if Audra's (car ) airbags blew and she's in for repairs or whatever else might've happened that she's bailed.
