GDT: G78: Stars @ Wild | 2PM

New guy is oh so bad. That was the only way Billy G could make Treniyawn look good, by bringing in some pylon on skates for us to compare him with.

Exactly. You can't teach size, as the dinosaurs say. Babcock, Torts and the rest of the lot

When we meet Winnipeg or Vegas in the playoffs, they'll see his height and immediately cower in fear. It doesn't matter that he can't skate and he plays like he's 5'10, it'll already be too late by the time they realize.

Beautiful day outside, and I am here in the pain chamber that is this team. Least they could do is score a goal or two

And such an important game, you don't want to remember this one as a loss.

683 points...add a couple more today.

The worst thing to happen to sports television is legalized sports betting causing literally a flood of sports betting commercials being jammed down our throats.

I read somewhere that the Wild is ranked 29th in NHL faceoff stats.
Thats much better than I thought, to be honest.
Bring in Stenlund! He's around 59%. He was 83% vs the Jets yesterday. Scored on a hell of a shot too.

I still maintain that the trade was whatever because our PK has been much better since it was made.

We traded a couple younger guys with some useful traits and room to grow for a guy who brings nothing but height. It's a whatever trade in terms of overall impact because they're all fourth liners, but for what it was, it's an indefensible trade. It reeks of Guerin and his staff doing no research on the player outside of googling his height and weight. Boston hoodwinked him big time.

We also gave up a 6th which makes no sense.

And he added a 6th

Yeah I got no problems with trading Marat.
My only issue was that I think we could’ve gotten a better player. Marat + 2nd could’ve gotten a lot more than Nyquist + Brazeau. Kuzmenko went for a 3rd at 50% retained and Kings even got a 7th rounder back

The 6th and Lauko definitely were a bummer to lose, but minimum value overall so I'm not worried about it. We can sign a similar player in the offseason and trade them next deadline for a 6th.

It's always been more about the principle and what it represents to me, than the actual pieces we lost.

Yeah, that's the kind of deal I would like to see if we are going bargain bin shopping.
