Can we somehow add Yurov to the team for the rest of the season? I mean it's an emergency situation and the Wild have got his rights, right?Bah. Rossi's not returning.
Upside: 1st line center Freddy Gaudreau, babeh.

Honestly, at the rate we're going, we're another 2 injuries away from someone on these boards getting called up.Can we somehow add Yurov to the team for the rest of the season? I mean it's an emergency situation and the Wild have got his rights, right?
Wouldn’t be me….Honestly, at the rate we're going, we're another 2 injuries away from someone on these boards getting called up.
I love your sarcasm most of the time but it's not funny atm.... I mean every team has to deal with injuries at some point of a season but the Wild have been on a far different level....Honestly, at the rate we're going, we're another 2 injuries away from someone on these boards getting called up.
Put me in coach. I can skate straight line forward pretty good... just don't ask me to stop, turn, or skate backwards!Honestly, at the rate we're going, we're another 2 injuries away from someone on these boards getting called up.
If you can't laugh the bad luck off, what else can you do?I love your sarcasm most of the time but it's not funny atm.... I mean every team has to deal with injuries at some point of a season but the Wild have been on a far different level....
You just described Justin Brazeau skating so you will do more than good enough - at least in Guerins opinion.Put me in coach. I can skate straight line forward pretty good... just don't ask me to stop, turn, or skate backwards!

We don't know what our boy Rossi is going thru. Could be a minor thing that they don't feel the need to put him back in with a 3 nothing lead.

If that is the case, why did they trade away the 6th round pick as well? It would be horrible assessment management by Guerin.I'm really thinking the brazeau trade is us calling Boston and saying let's trade some guys we aren't bringing back next year.
If we add yurov, ohgren and a ufa there really isn't much room for him.
We've graduated from one-dimensional players to one-directional players. We're making history, here!Put me in coach. I can skate straight line forward pretty good... just don't ask me to stop, turn, or skate backwards!
Yes, in case people wonder if the injury curse exists only in St. Paul, Yurov was there to prove it permeates the entire organization.Isn't yurov injured and done for the season? He would fit right in.
They're on the ice more. More opportunity. Also probably targeted more. Nobody cares about wiping out Zuccarello, but Kaprizov is a feather in their cap.Why is it that only our good players who get injured?
Was about to say that Zucc was injured and was out for quite a long time, but then i remembered it was our own player who injured him.... hmmmm. They're on the ice more. More opportunity. Also probably targeted more. Nobody cares about wiping out Zuccarello, but Kaprizov is a feather in their cap.
For what it's worth, I've always liked Zuccarello and still do. I am also realistic about what he is, however: an aging, slow offensive player who turns the puck over as often as he puts up points, if not more often. He's great for what he is, but what is is also not a player anyone will be headhunting. Was about to say that Zucc was injured and was out for quite a long time, but then i remembered it was our own player who injured him.... hmmmm.
Just kidding. Zucc is an obvious asset to the team, at his price point. One of the few forwards who has offensive instincts. Shame that the baggage that came with him has prejudiced the board against him.
As far as Kap... well, in the old days, that's why Beliveau had John Ferguson on his line, Gretzky Semenko, Bossy and Trottier Clark Gillies. Even Ovi had Wilson for quite a while. You wonder if Foligno should be out there with Kap at 5v5, though at this point it's sort of like closing the doors after the cows have left the barn. I fear that Kap has damage that will never fully heal, just like Gaborik.
In the other examples i listed, there were two elite players and a physical player. Beliveau had Cournoyer, Gretzky Kurri, etc. JEE and Rossi simply aren't in that league, and can't carry Foligno. The closest we have is maybe a Kap-JEE- Boldy line. JEE is not a fighter, but willl handle a lot of the physical stuff. For what it's worth, I've always liked Zuccarello and still do. How many points do you think Foligno would put up on a Kaprizov line? I think he might be a 50 point player on that line, more of a credit to Kaprizov than Foligno. I would not mind seeing a Kaprizov - JEE/Rossi - Foligno line, but I'm sure some people around here would flip their lids at the mere sight of it. It would certainly depress Kaprizov's numbers a bit on a per-game basis, but if he's playing more games I don't give a damn.
