I know it's not all him. But I do think the "locker room" factor is absolutely real. Players talk about it, there's scientific proof that people who are optimistic perform better than people who are not, and he seems to be one of the straws that stirs the drink from the stuff I've seen.

And it cost us *checks notes* a 5th two years from now.

I don’t care about the 5th, I just don’t think Reaves is anything special. It’s great he’s been a good presence in the locker room and I’m happy to see him and the team doing well.

He’s absolutely not the 12th best forward when everyone is healthy though. Last year, DLo was a good locker room guy and the team was in good spirits, until they were completely useless in the playoffs.

Meh, a team isn’t made or broken by their 12th forward.
It's the vibe we are talking about here, sir

I don't mind Reaves in the lineup as the 12th FWD. I wouldn't pay more than $1m/yr to re-sign him.

I'm still flabbergasted that some Blues fans are up in arms over Hartman (kind of)inadvertently tapping Binningtons leg

Didn't help that Binny was spinning around. If that was only the Wild's 2nd goal of the game, the crease monkey wouldn't have made a fuss.

Observations

1. They still aren't playing the type of game that found them success despite scoring goals. This is not a formula that will lead to good things happening.

2. I like how to some degree on offense they have simplified things and are throwing pucks at pads and bodies and crashing they net that is a formula for success.

3. Klingberg had one of the more impactful games I've seen from a Wild defenseman. I get why they acquried him.

4. Addison is a net-positive for this lineup. The best defense is moving the puck, tape to tape passes, and moving through the neutral zone with speed. Merrill makes just as many defensive lapses as Addison.

5. Walker is a player and continually flashes. I would love to get him in the lineup consistently.

6. Boldy looks confident and the Ek, Boldy, Johansson line is developing an identity.

7. I would love to keep Johansson around next year, I've seen enough. I would also like to keep Walker in the lineup. Skill + speed is a great thing for the overall activity level and 5 on 5 play for the Wild. Move Foligno to line 4 if you have to.

8. Hartman is someone we should keep around too. He had a slow start, but I think he's a 25g - 50 point center on Kap's line and he can play up and down the lineup.
