You and Russo on the same page.Lmao, the Blues player just went to the bench to get a stick while our guys put on a perimeter passing clinic. They knew our players would do nothing.

It’s not making him the new Fiala. It was a completely unnecessary move. Fiala had justification for moving. Can we not make Marat the new Fiala? He was one of the worst offensive players in the NHL. It’s not like he was a healthy scratch either. He got almost 82 games to show signs of life and just never did.
Rossi, Foligno, Zuccarello, Spurgeon, and Chisholm were the players on the ice. Players that touched the puck after the stick broke: Chisholm(x3), Spurgeon (x2), Zuccarello, Rossi(x2).Which forwards were on the ice?

By the time Rossi touched the puck the second time, the blues player was back with their stick.
His play immediately before the goal is special. He isn’t a lazy player. He is a strong forechecker; he beats a defender that has 10 feet on him to the puck to maintain offensive possession and then gets that shot off that results in a goal.
The guy has never looked “bad” and it made no sense to trade him away for a 27 year old slow UFA. It’s an inexcusable trade.
He’s got 2 goals in 4 games. In the likeness of Mike Tice, ok, calm down. Marat has only 4 shot attempts in over 60 minutes of ice time, some of that on the PP and none shorthanded. Two have hit the net and just happened to go in. They sprung him on a breakaway which is the one thing he can do (and actually scored that time), and the second was a the type of shot that takes a prayer to go in. He's done nothing with Boston with the elevated opportunity to say he's we gave up some legit offense. And like has been mentioned, suddenly the PK looks better.
Now the return in Brazeau has been shunned by the coach and unfortunately been useless, but the only thing I don't like about the deal is throwing in the 6th. Getting rid of a couple contracts is important for next year.
Hard to find worse teams with a worse future. This is a bottom 10 team at best right now, maybe not even that.
Well, someone rated us as having the 2nd best prospect pool. Not sure that I agree. Wallstedt has taken a big step back this year, Ohgren looked ineffective in the NHL, and Yurov got injured after a down year in the KHL.Hard to find worse teams with a worse future.
A breakaway and a lucky point shot that was more of a dump in than an attempt to score. It’s not like he demonstrating some vision or puck-handling we overlookedHe’s got 2 goals in 4 games.
He wasn't the primary PKer either. Knowing you’re in favor of the trade usually favors the alternative.
