How many true 3rd line players do we have? You really think it takes a magician to tell 3rd and 4th line players to play like a 3rd or 4th line? No, the true magician would be Bednar if his shit worked and the 4th liners all of sudden started skating like Nate.
The only change Bednar has made to our system since '22 is that occasionaly we employ a double drop pass on the PP zone entries... and that was probably the brain child of Bennett. Jared simplyk does NOT have the same team, so why the hell is he coaching them the same way? The only thing he has done is willingly short his bench by ignoring 14 players in a game. He doesn't work with them, doesn't come up with new gameplans. Just says skate harder and when they can't skate like MacKinnon or Makar, he basically throws them away.
Colton and LOC, but there is no 3C. Drury is not a 3rd line center. He should be a 4C. I think centers are important to drive a line. This is why we don’t have producing 2nd and 3rd lines. 4th lines are not counted on to provide offense. They just have to be solid defensively and whatever they can do on offense is just a bonus
