GDT: G56: Islanders @ Wild | 7PM

I'm gonna let Minneapolis band The Replacements play a song for Hartman while Virus is celebrating another victory with the boys...he doesn't know how it feels to lose with this team.
Suck on it, Hartman!

Just a bit more on Hartman. When he was our 1c and putting up really good numbers (with Kap, you can't discount that) on a SUPER team friendly contract... loved the dude. I also tend to really like pests so that helped as well. But he's become a complete liability without contributing much. Don't miss him at the moment.

Do you mean "pests" or "pets"?

Trenin made the odd boo-boo tonight, especially in clearing the D zone(he wasn't alone), but he looks like a different player out there. I think he needs to be glued to Marat. In the future, a Marat- Trenin - Lauko 4th line would be pretty cool.

I'm impressed with the win, even if it was against a mediocre team, missing key players, on the 2nd night of a B to B. 5 straight goals, Boldy woke up, and we are finally getting consistent contributions from the bottom six. Zucc looks off... I think that he can use the time off.

I think our ability to win a round depends largely on Ek & Faber finding their game again. Obviously, Kap’s health and goaltending will be main factors, but Ek & Faber are our two-way horses and if they are hobbled, I think it will be hard to win a round against anybody in the West.

Encouraged by Trenin & Marat. We need an above average bottom 6, and they look capable of delivering. But I’ve always liked Trenin and thought it was clear he was acclimating to a new team. I think he was a smart pickup, even if he is notably overpaid.
