The first line has been so good I wouldn't break it, but he does need to play the other offensive line more.

When Manson went down we were left with three (3) NHL calibre defensemen. Not much he can do there.

21 minutes is nothing for MacKinnon. We were chasing for a goal the entire game.

Good first period. As soon as Demko robbed them a few times, Avs didn't want to shoot anymore. Got outworked in the 2nd and 3rd.

Probably would have been a good time to try Necas at center. He played his worst game as an Av IMO and the second line had a rough night. Mixing that up a bit might have sparked something. Again, Bednar is too slow and stubborn to make adjustments.

Going down to 5D really exposed our lack of depth there (which might be a good thing on the Jones trade front). Can't go into the playoffs with Malinski OR Middleton in the top 6 IMO. I hope this ends the Middleton experiment. Go get Jones/RD and see how Manson/Kylington holds up on the bottom pair before the deadline.

I give Bednar a pass on the Makar and Toews TOI this game. Manson was hurt, and the Avs spent 20 minutes on the PK. You want to play Malinski and G on the PK?

Bednar's problem is if the top line is so good, that is all he wants to do.

I maintain that management needs to drop the hammer on Bednar and tell him if this continues, he will be losing his job.

With Manson hurt, he really had no choice. Any combination with Middleton and Malinski is a goal waiting to happen. Not to mention they were on the PK for 12 minutes tonight.

Nah. Avs were the better team for 90% of the game until they got frustrated and took a ton of undisciplined pens which the refs did no favours either. Avs should've been up 4-0 at the end of the 1st period alone.

You're missing the point.

A 6 PK game and he still found a way to get the top line 21 minutes.

A couple penalties less and this is a 24-25 minute night for them.

He knows NOTHING beyond "top line go" night after night.
 
This just isn’t a good hockey team.

Get Wood and Middleton off the roster. Now. Both of them were responsible for that second goal. And Wood single-handedly took away what little chance they had of coming back.

Apart from one good shift where Demko kept it out without a proper stick they really didn’t do anything that looked dangerous. Even on THAT shift they kept on the perimeter long enough for Demko to get another stick.

About the only guys I thought were on it were Blackwood, LOC, Drury, and Kelly. Everyone else was doing stupid shit.

Four Nations cannot come soon enough. I desperately need a break from hockey, even though the world is burning down around me, this is stressing me out more.

Oh yeah. The team has a ton of dead weight on it.

I would honestly give up Ross Colton for a 6th round pick to any taker at this point. He has become useless since returning from injury.

You should feel this way. This season hasn't been remotely fun to watch. 9 times out of 10 is a miserable experience. It just awful and predictable.

I've watched basically every game since they came to Denver and this is the first season i simply don't care if I miss a game. We've had worse teams but compared to expectations this is the worst season I can remember it just sucks.
