Necas is ridiculous at getting zone entry.

He’s gonna help so much if we get Nuke on that line. Constant threats from him and Mack to break the zone and create.

He's smallish, doesn't skate particularly fast, doesn't have good hands, doesn't have a great shot...but he finds ways to get shit done. In all aspects of the game, all the time.

He's so impressive.

Yeah, they’re completely different players.

Necas does far more puck carrying and creating. Rantanen rarely did these. He was the trigger man on the line. Just looked for soft spots and scored at will.

There’s definitely gonna be some learning curve for Mack. He’s had Rantanen and his style for a decade. He’s gonna have to learn to be able to play with a guy who’s more similar to himself:

That Necas rush and zone entry for the goal was wild.

Cycles, picks up with speed, dekes 3 guys to enter the zone, button hook, draws all 10 Islanders eyes to him, gorgeous pass across the seam to MacK.

He’s electrifying.

Not so sure, he mentioned in an interview last week that he has liked how much of a playmaker he's become. I don't necessarily agree with that, but that was his words. We really need him to be a 30 goal scorer at this point since Mikko ain't here anymore.

Which is why after Mikko went full offense no back check I was never able to mark him down as one of my favorite players.

Admittedly I'm in the Forsberg camp, so guys like Nuke, Landeskog, Lehhky appeal to me more.

Mack is second only to Landeskog for me right now, until he's officially retired.

To be fair, Necas is like a right handed version of what Drouin was while younger. Chemistry is already strong imo, MacK just needs to do more of the sniping now and trust Necas to find him.

Nuke could completely change their dynamic too in a good way.

Some of Nietzsche's stick handles just shouldn't work, but only because he's as big as he is it does.
