George, not a bad guy, is just bad locker room vibe and when he struggles... well. Good riddance
We did employ Dermy for a long while. Maybe Bednar actually thinks that a goon on the squad is a good thing.
When you're as good as Mack you don't need to care about appeasing your fans.
They didn't come to watch him do a 3 second salute for the 6000 people that stayed to watch the 3 stars. They paid to watch the 60 minutes of hockey.
This is such a weird thing to nitpick about.

Bedsy, when asked about Blackwood's height, said he'd take the 6'4" goalie over the 5'10" goalie 100 out of 100 times. He used his hands to show the the size difference, in the amount of room opposing players would have to shoot at, between the different height goalies, went down in the butterfly.
Pretty sure that was a subtle shot at Georgiev.

I don't think it's a shot at Georgiev specifically, it's just the plain truth. There is one good small goalie in this league, and we played against him tonight. Outside of Juuse Saros, all the good goalies are tall.

Had to attend a work Christmas party tonight. Finally got to watch the game. Impressed with Blackwoods first start. Just one game obviously but so nice to see a goalie making saves when the team needs him to.

I've seen it at least twice and I don't even watch the post game most of the time.
Not a huge deal but it's such a quick and low effort thing to do, I can't even think of a legit reason not to do it.

Love it. This guy has been taken for granted in both directions. First, there were all the Duchene groupies that hated him. And, of course this meant walking through the fire of the abominable season. Makar never had to go through that. He was a product of it. But between the Duchene groupies and the Makar groupies, MacKinnon is one of the most overlooked and underrated superstars in Denver sports history.
Nate hasn’t looked right in a while and yet he’s got 50 points. That’s how good he is.
Power play is still shit and the second pairing really struggled. Rough game from Sammy G, and even though he had better underlying stats I thought Sammy M looked terrible tonight. Tons of really bad turnovers, I was so pissed when Middleton wrestled the puck away from like, two Preds, handed Malinski the puck and he proceeded to cough it right up. Oh well, try and do better next game.
Not gonna lie, Middleton is impressing me. He’s doing the things Manson was not doing this year—using his size and leverage to muscle guys off the puck and making the simple play. Obviously he’s not better than Manson but…he understands he’s not a puckmover.
But the big star was Blackwood. Fantastic debut. Hope he doesn’t have to work as hard next game.

Nate just doesn’t care for fanfare. He’s never been a very boisterous personality, if anything he’s socially awkward, the PR portion of the game is obviously something he hates. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Other players can do the interviews.

I'm not too concerned with Malinski, he's rarely had a bad game this year. The PP, however, has been hot garbage for awhile now.

Luckily LOC probably gave him the flu - then on to the rest of the preds who might be crapping their jerseys more than usual next couple games.
Will be great to see the Avs team post-flu season, with new goalies, into the 2nd half. I hope they don’t send Middleton down- really like his presence and didn’t see him fail too bad handling the puck or positioning.

G was responsible for 2 goals against but Malinski was downright terrible tonight. He's been regressing lately, don't know if he's sick or playing top 4 minutes is just a bit much for him.
